RED-EMC testing is a conformity assessment procedure that ensures that radio products meet safety and health requirements before being placed on the market in the EU.

 The assessment is conducted as per Annex III of the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) that covers the Conformity Assessment and the Declaration of Conformity. This testing procedure is necessary for wireless products to be sold in the 28 member countries of the EU. The primary goal of CE testing, which includes RED-EMC testing, is to allow wireless products to be sold in the EU without any national deviations.
